Family Dollar ~ Good Deal: Luvs diapers for $5 a bag

Hiya ~

I don't have a baby - so I don't buy diapers on a regular basis....
But, I thought this was a pretty good deal (worth mentioning)...

Also, I do not know what the regular price of Luvs Diapers are at Family Dollar....so if anyone knows, please post.

But, according to the sale (which ends TOMORROW, Oct. 7th), they are $7.00 per bag.

So, here's the dealio :

*$7.00 - Bag of Luvs Diapers
-$1.00 - 9/27 P&G Luvs coupon
-$1.00 - Family Dollar "Retailer" coupon
= $5.00 per bag

**Notes :
1. You *CAN* use a "Retailer" coupon and a "Manufacturer" coupon together at Family Dollar. I just did it last night at 3 Family Dollars stores in my area to "confirm" it. And each time, I spoke with the store managers about it.

2. You can only use TWO of the Family Dollar Retailer coupons per transaction cuz that's the way the registers are programmed....so, divide up your orders with (2) Retailer coupon + (2) Manufacturer coupons and you shouldn't have any issues, ok.

(They will "scan" the Manufacturer coupons but not the Retailer coupons, those have to be deducted manually via a system glitch that has been ongoing.)

Here's another scenerio if you have the $5/$25

(2) Bag of Luvs Diapers x2=$14
(3) Snuggle Fabric Sheets $3.50 (some places $3)
(1) Hormel Compleats Meal $2
Total $26.50
-$5/$25 Q
-(2) $1.00 - 9/27 P&G Luvs coupon
-(1) $1.00 - Family Dollar "Retailer" coupon
-(3) $3 Snuggle 10/4 Red Plum insert
-(1) $2 Hormel Compleats Q from Oct. All You Mag.
Total $7.50 + tax

I forgot to mention, my store is not coupon friendly and they never scan there coupons. They always enter them in manually. Everyone at that store does it and so does the manager, weird.

They don't scan them at mine either. They are good about coupons though. Except they will not take a FD q and a MQ, at least last time I checked.

Ours were actually $7.50 but I used a $5 coupon from a mailer and their $1 store coupon. They weren't sure if they could take both but the register didn't complain, so I got my sister a 31 pack for $1.49 :)
