My Family Dollar stores don't like to do a bunch of single transactions...{pet peeve of theirs}...
My stores know me pretty well, and know that I also shop for my sister, my mom and my father in law...(and random other people....I've done donations TO FD employees before as well)...
So maybe they do this only for certain customers? I dunno??

They aren't fussy about limiting me to ONE coupon...even if the coupon reads "limited to one per person"...
They prefer to have the sales and do it all in one transaction.
They told me - in reference to the Marcal coupons - that they will do 20 (in one order) per person/per week.
So, I abide by the rules THEY make.

When in doubt.....it's always best to just ask and allow THEM to make the call.

I stopped in at my local FD last night to pick up my 6 rolls of free paper towels and they were very clear that the coupons states "1 per person"! I guess I will be stopping in a few time them! :-)

Awww I wish I had some Marcel Coupons. I'm from Tx. I dont think we got any here. Anyone need anything that I can trade for? Anything at all...hehehe

My store was also pretty strict about the "one per person." I asked if I could buy them in multiple transactions, and they said no. But I got one free roll, and maybe I'll be able to pick up more another day. (My store only has a few cashiers, and I'm pretty sure the cashier from this time won't let me buy another roll even on a different day. Hehe maybe I should have my 2 and 4 year olds each buy a roll?)

I tried to use these and it was a no go. They saw "one per person" and freaked out. (I was trying to buy 5.) Good thing they didn't know about the other q's in my purse I guess. LOL There are only a few FD's around here, so I guess I'll have to get rid of my other q's. The cashiers aren't very friendly. :(

Yeppers! That happened to me too. The cashier was really rude about it and she wouldn't let me use (1) Free & (1) $1.00 off. UGH!

ok, i risked my life and went to the FD downtown on my lunch because I was so excited to redeem these coupons... so i go down, and they are ringing me up, she calls for the manager, the manager says take 1.00 off x 3.. no biggy... then they tell me that i have to make another purchase,i cant just pay the tax.. i told them i didnt want to buy anything else... did you guys have to buy something else?

went to 3 different stores
-- one had a mgr who said she got a note 'from corporate' which said one per person per day, period.

-- risked my well being also and got 6 at a different store. The clerk was nice but said I couldn't just pay tax. I wanted to get out, so I used 5 coupons and pd for one. 6 police cars in the parking lot of that small mall (no policemen in sight though).

-- had to drive out of town today, so I went to a rural FD store. Plenty of stock, friendly clerk and paid 1.68 for 21 rolls.

Guess it's true, the third time's the charm.

ACK! that stupid Q is BACK -today's paper!! expires 10-21-08. Forget if it was RP or SS, but I am pretty sure it was SS.

Paper towels don't make a good fort.

I think I may just stack them against the walls and soundproof the playroom....
