I should calculate and see how much this saves.
TY......I make about 50 cheesecakes during the holidays.
WOW! Thats amazing! I've never made one, but my dd (20 yrs old) makes an awesome mocha cheesecake. She made it for us last year at Christmas. MMMMM..
And thanks to the OP for sharing the recipe. When Sweetened condensed milk is running $1.99 a jar, thats a HUGE savings.
I calculated the cost of making this, in my state it is $.53, on sale at the stores for $2 each.
Awesome recipe, thanks so much. I make a caramel apple dip, that calls for sweetened condensed milk.
Raising children(especially teens) is like being pecked to death by a chicken
In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.
Mama Stu-Would you mind sharing your Caramel Dip recipe here?
Caramel Apple Dip
1 stick butter or margarine
2 C. light brown sugar
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 C. white corn syrup
Heat on stove stirring frequently(mostly constantly) until brown sugar is completely dissolved. I just taste a bit because it is hard to tell by looking. When it is completely hot and not gritty, it is done. It tastes soooo good and everyone is always surprised to find out there is actually no caramels in it because it tastes like hot melted caramels. Cut your apples, dip and enjoy
