girl hat and glove sets for .50 (really cute tweety, penguin, supergirl, etc)
a single boy toddler hat .10
shoes and boots .40 to 1.50

I found a pair of ladies velour pants for $1 and ladies sweat pants (tie waist) for .80 cents. Everything else was big ladies left and not much of that.

Today, zippered hoodie 1.00, sweatpants .60.

Darn, that's the store I keep forgetting to visit everyday. There are actually 3 locations within a 5 minute drive of my house - LOL

Look at the clothes racks good.....anything that is DEFINATELY Christmas (has Santa, or Christmas saying) will ring at 1¢ !!!!! Not the "winter" stuff...the pj's with ornament in the print are not Christmas--just winter. I did get long shirt type pj's with Santa's face for 1¢ and onsies with Christmas saying on them for 1¢. Nice surprise when I was going to be happy with 90% off price.

I discovered that today too. I did the circuit of my 3 very close stores and the one the next town over and found some good deals. I got my baby niece some 2 and 3 piece outfits at the last store and was surprised to see them ring up at $0.01. The one stand-alone store I visited had their clearance stuff at 70%. I saw a few shirts I wanted for myself. But, why pay $2.40 for them now, when I may be able to get them at $0.80 soon - LOL I did get some great deals on kids cloths. I am a guy, with no kids of my own. So, I did end up getting 2 pair of jeans that are way too big for my 4 y.o. niece. Who knew there was more than one size 6 or 8 in kids sizes. Kids clothes always look too large or too small to me. But, at $0.95 each pair, i'm not going to stress about it and she will eventually grow into them. I got:

Sweat pants with a little bow on the front: $0.50 each
Jeans: $0.95
Barbie knit cap: $0.30
Gloves (2 pair sold together): $0.20 got 10 pair for $1
Premiere International Baby 2 piece set: $0.50
Fisher Price 3 piece set: $0.80
2 3-piece baby sets: $0.01 (I don't understand how something with only 2 pieces of clothing is a 3 piece set)
Inflatable Valentine Lips: $0.30

I also found full sized Chick-O-Sticks for $0.10 each and bags of Mary Janes for $1.00. I haven't seen them that cheap in quite a while

My store has a set of Revlon clippers and small nail file for $1.00 and I used the $1.00 off any Revlon beauty tool to get it free! I bought 6 of them.

OK I can do better than the penny deals. I went in DG a couple of weeks ago- picked up some Easter lawn signs that were 90% off- figured that would make them 30 cents since they were 43. When I went to the register cashier was talking on the phone- she rang up my stuff, then noticed they rang up a penny. She told whoever on the phone she couldn't sell these- they were ringing up a penny, and as Easter candy. What was she to do. Well she voided my whole order- the only other thing I was purchasing was baking cups-she bagged everything and only charged me for the baking cups. And I got one of those "looks." Hey, isn't my fault! Now, when was the last time you went in a store and they just GAVE it to you? No ringing it up, coupons to use, nothing like that. I think this was a first for me. I was- and still am- doing the happy dance!!

If things ring up for $.01 at Dollar General, they are not supposed to sell it. It is how they put in discontinued items or recalls.

I work in Dollar General stores every week(I don't work for them but my company does a lot of work in there). Whenever we come across anything that rings at $.01 we have to give it to the manager to dispose/send back, etc. They can't sell these to customers. I have seen some books ring up at $.01 and they would not sell them to the customer that found them.
