Priced a few TP items today for tomorrows $5/25

    Scott Extra Soft 12 rolls ( 1 ply ) = $5 x5 packs = $25 - $5/25 - $5 ( 5 x $1/1 Q's from 1/15 SS ) = $15 / 60 rolls
= .25c per roll OR .008 per Sq. Ft.

    Cottonelle 12 rolls ( 1 ply ) = $6 x 4 packs = $24 plus $1 filler = $25 - $5/25 - $2.00 ( 4 x .50/1 Q's from 1/15 SS ) = $18 / 48 rolls
    = .38c per roll

    Angel Soft 12 roll + 20% bonus packs( 2 Ply ) = $6 x 4 packs = $24 plus $1 filler = $25 - $5/25 - 1.80 ( 4 x .45/1 Q's from 11/13 RP) = $18.80 / 48 rolls
= .39c per roll OR .0097 per Sq. Ft.

    Scott 1000 9 rolls ( 1 ply ) = $7.25 x 4 = $29 - $5/25 - $2 ( using 2 $1/2 Q's from 1/15 SS ) = $22 / 36 rolls
= .61c per roll OR .0053 per Sq. Ft

Well I'm extremely annoyed. The cashier/manager scanned all of my manufacturer coupons at once at the end of the transaction and they were all credited. However, my $5.00 DG coupon was not credited even though it was scanned first.

The explanation I was given was that even though technically you can use manufacturer coupons with the DG coupon the amount of the manufacturer coupons is deducted from the DG coupon. So with every manufacturer coupon you use the value of the DG coupon goes down and because I used more than $5.00 worth of manufacturer coupons I didn't get any credit for the DG coupon.

At first he wanted to blame the total discrepancy on the fact the my coupons said one per purchase so only one of each was credited and tried giving them back to me. But I pointed out on my receipt that they were credited so he needed them for redemption. But he refused to take them back and said that letting me keep them was a way of making up for the $5.00 coupon I didn't get credit for.

I don't feel that giving back $3.00 worth of coupons is satisfactory compensation for a $5.00 credit. For one, $3.00 does not equal $5.00. Second, $3.00 in coupons is only of value to me if I intend on using them which I don't; I bought all of the detergent I care to and they are the only place that carries it right now.

I called the customer care number but it's the weekend so I'll have to wait for a district manager to call me back next week. If that is actually the way that works it should say so on the coupon instead of giving the impression that it and manufacturer coupons can be combined with no issues.

That doesn't sound right. I've used both the $5/$25 q along with manufacturers and they all came out as being credited and I know many people on here have been able to do that as well.
Definitely talk to the district manager about that.
Another thing about those q's, most stores don't even try to scan them anymore b/c they rarely scan right. Mine always have to manually enter in the code that is on the q and it works.

no, that doesn't sound right at all. I went today and used 2 $1/1 manufacturers Q's with the $5/25 Q and saved $7. the cashier didn't put the DG one in first so they had to do a price adjustment to fix it but they took all 3 at face value. do speak to the district manager, they should have taken the $5 off then the other ones.

Ok just got back from DG and did fairly well, but will have to wait on a rebate to get the full savings. Here's the breakdown:
    (2) Scotch packing tape rolls - $2 - (2) $0.50/1 q's
    (2) Lady's Speed Stick- sale $2- B1G1 q
    (1) Nivea body wash- $2.65- $2/1 q
    (1) Franks Red Hot Sauce- sale $0.85- $0.75/1 q
    (1) Arm & Hammer liquid laundry detergent- $5- $1/2 q
    (1) Arm & Hammer laundry detergent paks- $8.50
    (1) Valentines Day Card -$1
    take off the $5/$25 q = $15.50 oop

Plus the detergent paks had a TMF peelie!! So that means I'll get $8.50 back! In the end, $7 for all that is pretty good I would say :-)
