The new DG Store Coupon Pretax for $5/$25 is now online and up! The DG Store Coupon is valid only for Saturday, 08/27/11.

Also, the OP mistakenly typed $5/$30 and it should be $5/$25. Thanks OP for the info.

Don't forget to use the DG Store Coupons at other retailers for Competitor Coupons--YMMV.

I learned last week you can't use other store q's with the $5/$25, so I'm not sure how I'll do it this week... do they have any good sales?

I think imma get 6 Ajax (using the .75/1) and 6 degrees at one store and 9 chef boyardees (using the 35/3 and the free snack pack wyb 4) 2 degrees and 3 whisk (using the 2/1). Should pay 11 oop at each place. Not GREAT but, maybe I'll think of sumfin better when I get there. And hubby likes the chef b for lunch. Soooooo

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Did you try to use a competitor's store coupon or regular manufacturer's coupons? I was able to use manufacturer's coupons with my $5/$25 coupon this morning, but I live in GA.

I did my math last night and first thing this morning set off to see if it could be done. I don't shop that often at DG with coupons but I have not had any problems. I have 24 cats (a kitten passed away suddenly last week, don't know why) so I am always buying food. However, after the China/Contaminated Pet Food fiasco a few years ago, I do not buy any brand but Purina. So this is what I was able to get:

4 - 3 1/2 pound bags Purina Kitten Chow @ $4.50
20 cans (5.5 oz) Purina Friskies Classic Pate @ 2/$1.00
Thats $28.00 before tax and coupons.

Just to be sure that there would not be any problems, I handed the clerk just my $5/$25 coupon first. She entered that and then I handed her my 4, $1/1 Kitten chow coupons and $1/20 Friskies cans coupons. All total, tax included, I spent $19.61! (My cat food budget is $20-$40/week depending on sales).

The way I look at it, I got all of the cans for FREE! (The subtotal before tax was $18.00, the full retail cost of all four bags of Kitten chow). I love coupons!

I gave the cashier the $5/$25 q and then I had DG q's from their website and manufacturer q's. They accepted the MQ's, but not the DG q's. coulda saved me $6 more bucks if they would have accepted all.

I ended up not even going today...
