$3/3 Kellogg's found at Dollar General questions

Hi

I was fortunate enough to find some of these yesterday. I noticed in the Trade forum that people are noting that this is in the new barcode format. Can someone fill me in on what that is? Also there is no statement as to whther this is a store coupon or manufactures coupon. Has anyone used these sucessfully somewhere other than Dollar General? Did they scan OK? If anyone can shed some light ont hese questions I would be grateful.

By the end of this year, all coupons will be carrying this new barcode. The GS1 barcode is being put in place to reduce cashier intervention and hold 5x more data then the current system to reduce coupon fraud.

Yes, the $3/3 is a MQ and the redemption is through Kelloggs. That being said, other stores 'should' take the coupon since it is a MQ. The scan part only is an issue if the store hasn't update their systems for the new barcodes.

I read somewhere on here that someone used this coupon at another store (Walgreens, CVS or Target maybe?) and it went through fine. Whereas I had trouble using them at the DG where I got them! I have a few left and plan on trying them at other stores.
