So hubby and I planned and plotted our trip to Dollar general last night. We each had a $5 off $20 order coupon and then we had our coupons for the items we were purchasing. We had two carts and had everything seperated out correctly. His order rang up first no issues, got great deals, and after coupons and the $5 off dollar general coupon, he saved 40%. Then my turn, I had a bogo on alpo and a $2 off dentastix from pedigree. The bogo coupon didn't work and the $2 pedigree wouldn't work, so they had me complete my order then step to the side so they could review my receipt. They couldn't figure out how to get my bogo for alpo to work, so the lady just gave me the money out of her pocket, even after I told her to just give me my coupon back and take the alpo back. And to top this whole thing off, in the time it took me to walk over from the checkout to the customer service area, they LOST my $2 dentastix coupon!!!!! I mean, where did it go?????? Finally, after looking for it for twenty minutes, I asked the cashier to just take back the dentastix (they would have been free with the coupon)... So, I ended up giving back the dentastix and getting back my $2.14. So disappointed....but I still saved 50% on my order. Be careful if you are in a line with a new cashier, they seem to get confused easily by coupons, especially at the Dollar General.
