Dollar General ~ Question: Dollar General- can the DG coupons be used with manQ's?

Just curious, 'cause lately I have noticed that they have had the DG Q's most every week. The most recent are good 'til 12/5/09 Any help would be appreciated and repped! ;)

I have had no problem using them at my DG and they are not the most coupon friendly place. Also, the DG policy is to accept one DG and one Manu. coupon per item. :)

OK. I know I am behind in the world of couponing and blogging..Crazy!! But I have just started both actually in the past week and I am ADDICTED to saving!! I love couponing.. getting on to my question..
I went to DG last night (11/10/09), I tried to used the DG coupon on their website for 1/off air wick products. and I had a Manufacturer coupon for 1/any 2 airwick aerosol products. I also had previously in the same day asked the manager on duty if I could use both coupons and she said yes. But when I tried to use them later that same day the cashier was very rude got really loud and stated I could not use both, only one. What do I do, I'm very upset!! She made me feel like I was stupid and trying to steal from her?

I am sorry that this happened to you. :sad:

If the manager previously said that you could use the coupon, I would ask for the manager to come over and ask him/her about correct coupon usage. If she/he says that it is okay, then you are set. If he/she agrees with the cashier, then I wouldn't buy the item. I would ask the manger if they could contact corp. for confirmation of the corp. policy. If they won't I would get a copy of the policy from corp. and go back to the manager and see what they say then. If you are calm and respectful in your conversation, there may be hope.

Also, please don't let a cashier make you feel badly about what you did. Oftentimes, couponers are much more knowledgeable about policies than the people at the stores. That is because this is what we do, they do lots of other stuff and are not always trained correctly. Also, they may be afraid of getting in trouble for taking a coupon and will do it happily once a manger approves it.

If you bought the item already, I would take it back with the receipt and ask the manager that you already spoke with and see if you can return and rebuy the item with both coupons.

I have tried at Dollar General but they wouldn't take them no problem at dollar general market. I would love to be able to use my 1.50/ sucrets dg coupon with the 1.50/1 sucrets man coupon. Wah!!

Email DG corp and ask them for their coupon policy. Their policy is to take one DG Q and one Man Q per item. Then once they email you and tell you that is their print it off and take it to the store with you. HTH
