DD3 Dollar General 11/01/09 to 11/08/09 Sale and 10% off Coupon Discount

Hi,

I have the new DG sales circular for the week of 11/01/09 to 11/08/09 that arrived in my The Times Community newspaper today. You will also find the new sales ad at your local DG stores on 11/01/09 (per store manager at Warrenton, VA).

There is a great 10% off Discount Coupon on the LAST back page of the sales circular. It is located on the back page at the bottom left page of the ad. The coupon ad states 10% OFF VETERAN'S DAY DISCOUNT GOOD ONLY 11/11/09. So you can use this coupon at DG or other Competitor Stores for a Competitor Coupon (i.e. Harris Teeter, Wal-mart/Super Wal-marts, Target/Super Targets, etc.). Of course, it may be YMMV, in your areas.

Just ask your store managers and also don't forget to take the circular with you to "price match" at Target/Super Targets and Wal-mart/Super Wal-mart stores.

My store manager at DG told me to take as many ads as I needed. Our store had the ad early today. Also, on the bottom of the back page of the ad, DG DOES ACCEPT MANUFACTURERS' COUPONS AND EBT--if you use them. It is printed in white letters in black bar at the back page (last page) of the sales circular ad. So show this to your managers/cashiers, of course. I don't know about IP's--just check.

Okay, now I have told you of this sale--I will try to list some of the highlights. The ad is around 8 pages front and back. Here goes--I cannot scan since I am not at home yet. If you use the ad circular for a "price matching" ad, ask the stores is they will "substitute" their own house brand. Many stores will--just show the ads.

Brawny (3 pk.) Paper Towels $3.25
Angel Soft (24 regular roll) Bath Tissue $5.50

Kraft Dressing (16 oz.) Assorted Flavors $1.75
Kraft Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese or Velveeta Shells & Cheese (12-14 oz.) Assorted Varieties $1.75

I did the majority of the food items; however, Pages 3 to Page 8 includes Christmas items, Paper Goods, More Food Items, Dry Goods, etc. Sorry I did not type every item. A good sales circular though.

We do NOT eat alot of processed foods since we farm; but I thought this would help you who shop at DG. I shop for some items; mainly dry goods. I also make alot of our food from "scratch and homemade" for ourselves. I can and freeze our produce and we have our own livestock.

Also, don't forget to check the Coupon Database for match-ups, etc.
Have a good week--

Blessings--

Foodie

Be careful with this Q. It states it is for Veterans and Military only.

Thanks for pointing that out. How does one prove that they are a veteran?? What type of documentation would they want to see??

In reading the fine print on the ad, it just states "for Military and Active Duty Only"; but when you read the WHOLE fine print no mention of providing Military ID, etc.. I assume you don't have to. Does not state any other provisions that I could read; and I read the whole ad coupon.

Hope this helps--

I think I'll call the store later this morning and ask about the military discount. I'll post here if I do.

yep, they have some pretty good deals this week. I price matched at SWM today and bought 6 of the bleach--had two 1.00 coupons off for two botles--final price 1.33 each--not bad. I also bought 5 kraft dressings--I had 5 1.50 off of 1 so final price .25 cents each, real nice. A couple of other good deals--Ritz crackers/Wheat thins and Folgers coffee. First time in awhile that DG had things on sale that we actually use.
