Hot Button Re: Dollar General 11/01/09 to 11/08/09 Sale and 10% off Coupon Discount

Don't forget to use the 10% off Coupon--perhaps at Home Depot or Lowe's too--they accept Competitor Q's and sell household cleaners, etc. Also, you may be able to use the 10% Coupon and store coupons as well as the store coupons at Lowe's and Home Depot and at other Competitors--:shrug7:

Military folk are issued "Military ID cards"...

These are used for many reason, some of which include :

~ to allow them access to get on base (whereas normal civilians are not permitted unless accompanied by a military personnel)

~ to shop at military *only* stores (such as commissaries)

~ to receive national store and restaurant discounts

~ for all things having to do with their military rights and responsibilities

The Dollar General coupon on the back of the ad ....no matter how ya "nit-pick" the wording.....it's clear to me what the use is intended for...it is ONLY for those who are in the military (past or present).

Us everyday civilians have not EARNED the discount that is being offered, therefore we should not redeem the coupon.

If you haven't served, have NO military ID and KNOW that you have never been in the military...
Then ignore the coupon....
It's not for you.

But if you know of someone who HAS served, IS serving and has a military ID and deserves the discount that's being offered...
Then share your coupon with them....
I've yet to meet ANYONE who was offended by saving money.

Well said, Sherry. I gave my coupons (10%) to one of our family friends at church.

I am a military Vet and I get the discounts. When you leave the service ,unless you retire, you don't receive an ID card alot of the times people have to take your word or you will need to show a DD214
