HOT 5 like coupons per transaction/trip

Just a rumor at this point. The cashier I had tonight (Westloop Dillons, Manhattan, KS) called over another cashier when I handed her 10 Mentos Up2U coupons and said "can we take this many?" That cashier said "Well so far nothing's been posted, so I don't think this policy is official but at manager's discretion they are implementing 5 like coupons per trip. I'm not going to start enforcing it until its actually posted."

The cashier suggested I contact management and tell them I would really dislike such a policy. 10, yeah, 20, yeah, but 5??? How am I supposed to get a Kleenex cat for buying 7 Kleenex if I can only use 5 coupons?

I think this has already happened at some Springfield stores, hasn't it?

Pittsburg, KS is going to be doing this soon. I hate how some cashiers talk about the upcoming change and say that it is a way to stop couponers from scamming the stores.

The only thing I've seen posted at Pittsburg was on P&G which has limits on the coupon anyways. What is frustrating if they follow through is the way they have their check outs is it would be a HUGE PITA to do multiple transactions. Right now if I want to do them..I do Food first cause its' on top, and then do non food underneath..cause it has to all stay in the cart.

So many of the non food coupons are putting limits on the coupon..but for the most part the food coupons don't have limits yet.

The flipping electrasol coupon..ugh!!!!!! At Walmart I had to do 6 transactions to get through those ones..cause it's a limit of 2 each .

Oh and if anyone writes them a letter....if they actually limit it to trip..their will be people like me that will just not purchase as much stuff. If I'm only allowed to purchase 7 boxes of Kleenex..I'm not driving an hour to Pitt..another time to do it again KWIM? Many of Dillons are in Rural Kansas so...we make a trip there...if they want my business they have to do it basically on my terms. I'm there I shop for what I need/have/ect. I spend quite a bit of money their, I'm not walking out with completely free stuff. I can't get to the sales like a lot of folks..it's kind of like when I'm in the area, I'm in the area..so I get what I need at the best price I can. If I can beat walmart's price WOOT! But I cannot and will not make multiple trips.

I know, they are making money off the coupons as well, so I don't see why they think they need to limit them. Their good coupon matchups bring in money to the store. I know people go overboard, and I have heard complaints that you can't find things on the shelves and its because people clear the shelves when stuff is free. So, again, limit to 20 or something, and order lots of extra stock!

Last time we all did the customer service survey on Dillons website right? When they were talking about taking away expireds and there were some other changes they decided not to do along with the rest of Kroger. I think we can make our voice heard again, I know here there is a LOT of grocery store competition so I think they need to keep themselves competitive.

Make it clear, Walmart doesn't limit!!!!!

There are already things I have stopped getting at Dillons because even with the price doubling it's still cheaper at Walmart.. I was going to get a bunch of Cinnanom Toast Crunch..but I was nearly $4 a box..ack! I've never seen it so expensive..so yup..took my .50 cent coupons instead to Walmart...paid aprx. $1.50 a box their instead.

But rub their nose, Walmart this and Walmart that..they don't want to hear the name Walmart!!!!!!

The store on W. Battlefield in Springfield limits their coupons to six like coupons. I'm not sure how the other Springfield stores limit coupons. It hasn't really impacted me too much because I generally don't have that many coupons and my family is still small (two adults, three kids aged four and under), but I don't know how people like Tracy does it with her big family. I try not to make multiple transactions because I start making mistakes that way, but you would have to if you have more than like six coupons. I cant send my husband into the store with my coupons, he is NOT coupon savvy (as evidenced from a recent Walmart trip in which he was supposed to come out with less than $10 worth of stuff but instead came out with more than $30 ).

Actually, now that I think about it, it might be a five like coupon limit. Didn't used to be eight coupons? Ugh, who the hell can keep up anymore? Clearly, I never have that many coupons.

I was wondering about that. Yeah if something goes on a great sale and I don't need the doubles, I'll just price match it at Wal Mart.

This is really going to stink for me if StarKist tuna goes on sale.... I am sitting on a ton of those coupons right now.

Incidentally I went to the E side Dillons today and got 7 Kleenex per transaction (did 2 transactions) with no hitch. Maybe we'll be lucky here and at least one of the stores will decide not to limit.

In Pittsburg today, I had six of the same coupon and the cashier informed me that they have a 5 coupon limit and have enforced it since the beginning of 2012. Since the coupon policy is very vague, it isn't in writing. She said it falls under the portion where coupon policies can be modified by store managers. I wish they would just write it all down in their policy so I don't spend forever at checkout trying to figure out my transactions. I hate when some cashiers act like you are knowingly trying to break the policy when there really isn't a specific policy in the first place!
