Sad, but true
I have to get my papers before church, otherwise they are all gone. My hometown still sells the sunday papers in the bins where you put coins in. I do not buy those anymore because I found that people just take all of the inserts out of the papers when they open the bin up. So now I have to go into a store pay more than I would in the bins. The clerks seems to keep a good eye out for people taking inserts though. Lessons learned.

I have gone and used 10 at a time without a problem too. So... even though I was told and it was enforced a couple of times, I wonder if they will stick with it. Actually one time I went to customer service, because I had read someone posting a policy saying "if you want to use multiple coupons please talk to a manager." I asked at customer service "I want to use 20 of these and 10 of these, is that okay?" She asked someone else and said "as long as the coupon doesn't say it limits the number, that's fine." She rang me up right there. I wonder if they are thinking now this is way too much hassle. I said "I can sure have the cashier do 4 transactions to make them 5 per, but that slows everybody down."

I really hope it doesn't last! It has made me double think my shopping trip at Dillons... if I'm buying something small like ZonePerfect bars and I can only buy 5... really what's the point?

Mel- I went to Dillons last week and used 6 coupons for Beechnut cereal. The cashier counted them and said we are only supposed to take 5 like coupons. She did go ahead a take it since it was the only thing that was over the "5" limit. She said that she is supposed to make you do another transaction if it is above 5. I think at this point it is up to the cashier/manager about using only 5 like coupons. I used 10 like coupons the day before and had no problems.

    Just a little FYI
Hubby and I don't go to "Town" Springfield very often and usually when we do I try to stop at Dillons to stock up and scavange for good deals.
We are planning a trip this weekend and after reading everyone's posts on limits I thought I would call them and ask a couple of questions; do you still take expired Q's and what is the qty limit?
Called Battlefield first, No expired Q's and a limit of 5 like Q's per item
Called Sunshine second, will take up to 2 weeks expired if they scan, and a limit of 8 like Q's.
I found the difference's between two stores in one town very intresting and thought I would share.

I used to go to the Battlefield store all the time but have switched to the Sunshine store just because of all the changes. They have less variety I have noticed but they are a lot nicer and work with you better. I do not usually used coupons that are that expired but it is nice knowing your not going to get attitude if you do!
