I was in and they had 2 lb blocks of Kroger cheese for $5.99 - a few weeks ago. I saw the blocks again last time I was there but didn't note the price. This is pretty much the buy price until Kraft comes out with coupons again. At least it is for me.

Yeah, I saw those and debated with myself about whether I should buy them or not (they even had Monterrey Jack), but I didn't and of course now I need some now. I'm going to the store tonight anyway, I will see if they still have the blocks at that price. I would rather not have to shred my own cheese because the opening to my food processor is about the size of a golf ball and cutting to fit the cheese in it is annoying. I bought one of those 5lb blocks of cheese from Sams once and it took me forever to shred it all up.

Yeah then last week another store had a 2lb bag of shredded cheddar for $6 so I snagged me one of those too... nice to have both. I love a hunk o cheese as a snack, as do my girls, so I chop the block up for that, and now have the shredded for our eggs and potatoes.

Kraft is $2.50, look for peelies or blinkies on those, it seems like they came out around this time last year.

Dillons still had the block cheese for $5.99 but they didn't have many left and no mozzarella. My cheese supply is now stocked and while I was out of the house someone already tore into one of the blocks! I have coupons for Kroger cheese that is on sale tomorrow, but I think I only have coupons for six bags and some cheese singles. I plan on getting some mozzarella tomorrow. Hopefully there will be a few markdowns too because they hardly had anything tonight.

So where'd you get coupons for Kroger cheese? I've never seen those are they in the homemailers they send out?

We don't have HH here, but occasionally Ray's Apple Market does sell the Best Choice brand cheese about that cheap. I have gotten Kraft cheese around $1 for 8 oz when there were coupons out on those.

I get Kroger cheese coupons in my homemailers. I had a one for 40 cents off of singles and two coupons for 40 cents off of two shredded or bar cheeses. Not great coupons but every little bit counts. Maybe we need to cut down on our pizza consumption.
