I don't remember seeing ground beef for $1/lb. for as long as I can remember.
The best price in Springfield is usually the 10 lb. rolls at Food 4 Less for $1.79/lb. or so.
I was wondering how often 1lb ground beef goes on sell for $1 at Dillons. We only have money to go shopping every other week and last time it was on sell i believe it was Sept. was one of the weeks we didn't have money for food. Thanks

Okay I must be wrong about price I just thought I had seen it for $1/lb before
There are sometimes special markdowns when things are close to the expiration date. There's no rhyme or reason to it, you just have to swing by and look for those red tags when you are shopping. But I have to say I don't think I've ever seen ground beef for $1 a pound, or $1 a anything (maybe $1 per patty or something, not really a good deal in that case). Anyway, that's the only time I think it would go that cheap.

Actually, I was at Dillon's one day when the meat manager was marking down 1 lb. rolls of ground round for .99. They were expiring the next day I think. I bought like 20 of them. He was more than happy to put them in my cart as he was marking them. But like Mel said, you never know what is going to be there. Lots of steaks, which are overpriced even after the markdown.
Yeah, either I am missing all of the good stuff or the markdowns have been really terrible lately. I have not purchased any markdowns in a while. Marked down meat, I should say, I have bought plenty of marked down produce.
