Interestingly - ya'll in Springfield should go ahead and see if Dr Pepper is included. The last time Pepsi was on a mega-event I happened to find $0.55/1 Dr Pepper 2L peelies in another store (I ended up finding them and peeling them off the day they expired so I didn't even feel guilty). I looked all around and finally went to Dillons to see if they were cheap enough there... they weren't LISTED as on the mega-event on the shelf but I bought 5 because I was still getting them for $0.29 after the $0.55 q doubled. When I looked at my receipt I had 15 mega-event items! What??? The DP WAS on the mega-event and I had just paid $2.50 too much for them (well less than that because the overage-killer registers wouldn't have given me the whole amount if they had cost less). Oh well. I went back with 10 more peelies and got them for free. If you take something up to Customer Service they can scan it and tell you if its on the mega-event or not.

Thanks. I didn't check when I was there before, but I'm going back for the $.19 Annies Mac & cheese (on mega for $.69, then there's the $.75/2 Ip from believeinheroes.org). If anyone from Springfield can post on the DP, I'd appreciate it. I can't get there until maybe late Tuesday.

The fact that its even on the shelf tags here in Manhattan makes me think that it may be on the sale everywhere, but again, last time I got some it was a mega event and the shelf tags didn't say DP was included even though it was.

BTW, the Annie's tearpad that I had didn't double, so I went to the store where I got them to see if they had more. Sure enough, it's a DND9, so they will be $.19.

At the Dillons E store here in Manhattan Dr Pepper 2L wasn't shown on the shelf tag to be part of the mega event, but it was in fact. If the cashier had rang up all of my Kleenex boxes it would've been an awesome deal - I got it corrected at customer service and ended up with 30 items for $8.

It's so funny isn't it, that mega-event is the one time I want every single item to ring up, because they all count. When she hit total or whatever I asked her to tell me how many mega-event items I had but she wouldn't, or couldn't do it, I KNEW the total was off.

And as far as I know, a cashier hasn't missed ringing up an item except on a mega-event sale, well, that's the only time I've ever noticed it.

I love shopping at Dillons but some of the cashiers are not so great about produce. You really have to watch out when they ring it up. I had a cashier ring up my gala apples as honeycrisp, she never looked at the tag on the apples. I had to correct her on that. I know where there has been several occassion where my produce has been rung up wrong and I had been overcharged. It might be a hassel but I think I might start using the self checkout for produce.

Yeah I've been charged for produce I didn't even buy, usually it was something like $0.50, but down at the very end there would be like .1 pounds of something, usually grapes. Like they hit some key for it and it weighed practically nothing that was on the scale. That REALLY annoyed me.

Are the other Dillons having really strict limits? In Pittsburg you could only get 10 of the DelMonte vegetables total regardless of type. Also, some cashiers were limiting the Campbells to 10 per flavor, while others were limiting it to 10 total like the veggies.

One cashier even told me that they were going to start limiting coupons to 4 or 5 like coupons per shopping trip, no multiple transactions. Since there aren't limits listed in the ad, I may just start price matching when I don't have coupons to double!

Not around here, in fact the shelves were PACKED with mega-event items, at least the canned goods were in good stock. I didn't try to buy more than 10 of any one thing though...
