Dillons: Using Ragu Tearpad Q with Mega Sale

I'm a coupon newbie. I went to FD and got some of the tearpad qs for Ragu. I just called my local Dillons to see if they would accept a mq that had another store logo on it and they said that they would not accept anything that was store specific. I explained to her that the q didn't specify that it MUST be used there. Any ideas on how to get them to take it?

Its not actually a store specific coupon. It states that it is a manufacturers coupon right on it next to the Exp date.. it also has the Unilever emblem on it and it gets mailed to Unilever. So just go in and hand over the coupon when you check out and it will scan the same as any other coupon. If they mention the fact that it says Family Dollar on it.. then point out the facts I mentioned. They work just fine.. I used them yesterday myself! GL!

Thanks so much for your help!! This was my first "good deal" and I was so excited about it, but nervous that it wouldn't work. But you were right! I had a younger male cashier who happened to be in a GREAT mood and didn't even say anything. Thanks again!

Yeah I've used store logo qs before. I have had cashiers look at them funny, but they scan them and they work fine if they are coded as a manufacturer q. Once they scan in the register, the cashier is OK with it. Or if you have to argue, again, if it says manufacturer coupon on it and has a redemption address that isn't specific to any store, rather the manufacturer, it should be fine.

I called the 800 number from the website and they said they wouldn't take them either. But I tried anyways after reading JrandMdB's suggestion. When I handed them to the cashier, they didn't say anything, just scanned and kept going. :)
