Our DT here in West Plains does not carry the Star. We also get a watered down version of the NL here, usually without most if the inserts. I'm not sure about subscribing, I have been buying them at Casey's.
Wondering if I can call the Star and see if they would be willing to start selling the paper at the DT or if it would be better to call DT?

I buy mine either from the Kum N Go at the corner of Republic Rd and Campbell Ave, the box outside the Nixa Price Cutter, or inside the Nixa Walmart. Last week I bought from the box outside the Nixa Price Cutter, and it had all 5 inserts. Yesterday I bought from my before mentioned Kum N Go and it only had the two SmartSource as well. I checked the Nixa Walmart's stack- and again, only had the two. I have family in KC who save me their inserts, but it takes a few weeks for me to get them. I just figured I will have to wait until then to see what was in the Redplum.

I cannot believe the coupons the Star has vs the NL. I bought NL at the first of the year and got 5 inserts, but when I started trying to match up coupons, there were a lot of coupons that I didn't get out of the NL. I was bummed.

Oh well, thanks to Tracy, I know where to get my Star now in Ozark, so I picked up 5 papers around 1030 and there were still at least a dozen left, so I hope everyone got what they wanted from the Dollar Tree.

I did email the guy and he said that he would make sure there were enough Star's for everyone. Just wanted to see if everyone did get as many as they wanted.

If you are referring to the 1/9 Star, did you get the RP? As stated previously, I did not. I've yet to see a post from anyone local as to what inserts were in their 1/9 Star.

Hi Tracy - Ijust found this source for newspapers! I was getting the free nwslder with gas at kum and go all summer. then they stopped so i just flailed around. I just discovered that the Deals dollar store sells the KC star for $1. I just pick the paper up and look through it for the complete inserts before i but it with no problems.

Went to Dollar Tree in Ozark around 11:00 am today (1/30) and took the last 4 KC Star papers they had. I hope everyone got theirs.

I'm wondering if maybe we shouldn't email the distributor again as I would have taken a couple more if they would have had them.

I was first in the door at 10am at the Independence Dollar Tree in Springfield. I got 5, another lady got 6. When I checked out about 10:10 I'd say there were 10 left. I wonder if the Dollar Tree decides what they get or the Star?

Yesterday (Feb 13th) I went to the Dollar Tree in Ozark to buy my KC Star and there was only 1 left! This was at 10:15 AM. They had completely sold out in 15 minutes!

I emailed Mitch Allgood to let him know that he needed to increase the amount he was dropping there. Hopefully they will.

I'm sure it's a fine line between having enough and having too many. Plus, I also wonder that when only 1 regular shopper can't make it there to pick up their multiple papers that it throws the count all off and they adjust it for the next week?

I'm thinking maybe that is what happened here. I couldn't make it on the 23rd to pick up the 5 I usually pick up (my son was in the hospital), so maybe they adjusted the count down the next week, and by the time I got there there were only 4 left? Just speculation. Not sure why there was only 1 this week unless the influx of shoppers buying Valentines Day balloons, decided to pick up a paper as well and threw the counts all off???
