Dillons: Question about blinkies that say DND

Do they double?

A few weeks ago I got a catalina coupon that said "Do not double" but it doubled. Do other coupons that say DND also double? I've seen insert coupons do it. I assume the DND is only meaning the manufacturer will not reimburse for a double, but if the store wants to discount it like a double they can if they want...

The difference in paying $0.45 for something or getting it free! I got a bunch of blinkies the other day.

Mine have always doubled. I have asked many managers of different stores that double coupons to explain how they work ( does the store eat the $ or does the manufacturer) and you'd be shocked at how many people have no clue ! One guy at Murfins (mgr) didnt even know they doubled !!! I dont know why the MF would care about doubling (DND) if its the stores are the ones who eat the difference.

I think it is up to the cashier, actually. The blinkies that say DND do double, unless the cashier pushes a particular button on the cashier. I prefer them not to notice because the register doubles it automatically unless he/she cancels it.

They will not double if the coupon, or blinkie starts with a 9. If they start with a 5 or 7, they will double.

OP is specifically speaking of Dillons...yes they all double.

OK thanks. I think I am going to try the E store because I have had more luck with coupons there, and actually sales tax is lower there too because it's in a different county. I was going to try 1 blinkie along with my insert qs on the same product, and then maybe go back with my stack of blinkies. Or maybe I should do them all together???

If I use a bunch of DNDs at one time I tend to go to the self check. If its a few in a pile of non DNDs I dont think twice about going to a cashier.

I dont' have an option of going through the a self check out. honestly there has not been one coupon they have ever undoubled...and I've used tons of DND. Heck they even double the CATS. Who else does that???
