I will only take the hour long drive there on purpose if they bump coupons to a $1.00. I can live without the expired and I don't do that much IP stuff...but I have a place in town that doubles (just no bumping)...they are more expensive...but I can't justify the gas to drive to Dillons without the bumping staying in place.

A "mistake"? I highly doubt it. I'm sure they changed it because of the input from their loyal customers. Unfortunately I went there today, tried to use 2 expired q's, they scanned but then the cashier looked at them and said "oh no, we don't accept expired coupons anymore." I said "really?" She said, "do you want me to throw them away?" And I told her yes. I should contact the management of my store and see about the coupon policy "change."
Any other Manhattan, KS residents, I would suggest contacting the Dillons stores to make sure they don't try to go ahead and implement this anyway. I definitely need to figure out which cashiers are the friendliest to coupons and stick with those.
It's true I could never switch to Hy Vee for all my grocery shopping. Thankfully our town also has Aldi, Ray's Apple Market, and Wal Mart. I honestly almost never set foot in Dillons until I started couponing.

Is the bumping still working? I have a jinormous pile of coupons I want to use there...but only going to drive there if they still bump...

I was there Saturday...all is the same...doubling .55+ up to $1, taking expired. All is good.
there is a online website the stores can check and see if a ip is good or not. I think its couponresouce.com. its on the legit ip's i think. anywho....I was also told that the copies of the bad ip's dont copy the background on the print like the originals do. thats how they can tell too. makes sense to me.
I have had no problems using my coupons at Dillons-every has remained the same-they must have gotten the word out about the "mistake" to the stores quickly. I was kinda sweating today when I was trying to use my free coupon up to $3.50 from Hefty. They always send it in the letter saying thanks for writing, and you have to cut it out. I was afraid the cashier would try to accuse me of printing it out since it didn't have the coupon look to it (no cutting out yourself for such a high value). It went through with no problem! Yea!
