if I have a lot of the same q ,I shuffle them with other q. Try to remember how many q I have and count them as they scanned .Usually I just get mad at the cashier and live with it. haaaaaa.

Nothing irritates me more than when a cashier carelessly scans coupons and misses several. I usually keep my mouth shut but was just wondering how you guys handle that situation? I have thought about handing them the q's one at a time, but that seems like it would take forever. I've also thought about alternating one horizontal and one vertical when a stack them up before I leave. What are your methods to avoid getting your Q's skipped?

I have them in the order I want first, then I hand over 5 at a time. This has saved me countless of times because it's easy to catch the mistake of one being missed but doesn't disrupt the flow. I typically have about 25-30 Qs in one trip, so it's easy for a cashier to miss one or think that one went through when it really didn't.
I have a system, I organize them by handing the cashier any competitor coupons, then all the store coupons(the ones without bar codes) that must be entered manually, then I mix the others up by sizes and shapes. I try to always put another coupon in the middle of any IP's that could stick together. I absolutely hate it when a cashier carelessly lays my coupons all over the place. I keep my purchases rather small so I can keep an eye on everything and it is easier to figure out. Still, it is no guarantee they will all be scanned. I think it is only fair for you to speak up nicely when they skip a coupon, they certainly speak up when you do something wrong-
I always hand over coupons 3 or 4 at a time fanned out and then count the number of beeps as they scan my coupons. I've never had a cashier complain or try to take all of my coupons from me and b/c I fan them out it makes it easier for them to scan them as well.

I agree about mixing them up. It seems to help alot! I have a calculator with me usually and know exactly what my total will be, so if it isn't right at the end I ask if any coupons stuck together...but when I mix them up this has only happened to me once..and I think I had over 100 coupons*poor cashier, at least he is a coupon-er too, so he understood:)
ISO-, Kashi, Fresh Express, winetags/beer rebates, produce or meat coupons, Honeysuckle White turkey(home mailers usually:) ), POWERADE,, SNAPPLE, GATORADE, SMARTWATER -ANY( Hubby has hour comute to work and if I don't buy these he does at the gas stations), Angel Soft $.50/1+, any Huggies wipes
This has happened to me and I am usually counting. I usually hand over my stack with my coupons grouped by item. I know exactly how many of each coupon and I count when they scan. I have handed them over in smaller groups before but that is not what I normally do. That probably is the best way to make sure they all get scanned though.
When it happens, I say, I think you only got 8 and I had ten of those. Then he/she will either believe me and just scan two more or print out the list and look and then count my coupons.

To be honest I have had this happen to me at Homeland a few times,so I began handing them one at a time, needless to say the cashier did not care for it,but I did explain that I have had coupons missed before,so he accepted it,and the next time,I handed them all over and he carefully scanned them all.
I usually hand them over in groups. So if I have 4 of one coupon, I will hand 4 over and also mention how many are there and I do that thru my whole stack and I count the beeps.
When I go to Dillons though, I just use self checkout so I can do it myself. I don't do regular grocery shopping there since I don't live that close and only go when there's really good deals. I love self checkout because then I don't feel rushed and I know all my coupons will get scanned! :)
