Please help - making boss's birthday cake Hello all,
My boss, Jill, is turning 50 on the 21st of November. She is scheduled to be in work on Friday, November 20th. I'd like to make her a cake to bring to work.
There are 59 people employed in our building, so I'd like to have enough cake (or cup cakes) for everyone who would like some to have some. I'm thinking that I'd do a main cake to serve 12 (office) and cupcakes for the rest. I did this last year and it worked out well.
Here's some info about her. She is:
-Turning 50, and a good sport about it.
-Has a great sense of humor, but would like to remain semi-professional at all times.
-Rides a motor cycle (A kawaskai something or another)
-Plays/Watches ice hockey (I made her a hockey puck cake last year)
-Likes whimsicle/detailed things
-Favorite color is orange
-Has one dog and two cats
-Is the controller/director of finance for our company
-Organizes her folding money by value, then by serial number (OCD much?)
-Is my boss, but also my boyfriends aunt (but no one at work knows this).
Please help!
Thanks!
(PS - my baking skills are 'so-so', but my mom owned a bakery for a kazillion years. She told me that she'll help me make whatever I want, but I need to come up with the idea and design, the ingredients and the pans (if she doesn't have that shape.) Oh, and Jill doesn't like butter cream frosting or fondent...)
