I like Suze Orman as a financial advisor. I have her book "The Money Class" and it really makes sense. I have my DVR set to record tonight!
I know you all seem to like Dave Ramsay, but today 1/9/12, on OWN, Oprah Windrey is re-running her shows with Suze Orman. She has an interesting premise; that clutter is disrespecting money, and how you keep your wallet reflects how you feel about money in your life. That when your life is packed with junk and disorganization, it keeps money from coming into your life. It's kind of interesting.
I've gotten her books for friends. For my son, I got "Young, Fabulous, and Broke." He never went into debt after reading her book.

I don't like Suze Orman. All right, I don't have a problem with HER, I've watched her show and it's very entertaining. But the main thing I've noticed is that her advice is totally inconsistent and often not so great. Like the time on her show in the "Can I Afford It" segment--she told one guy to go ahead and get a $30,000 swimming pool and put it on his credit card, and then told the next guy he couldn't afford to buy a $600 guitar on credit. Huh??

I like Suze and look forward to the shows.
I like Suze...but my wallet is REALLY a mess right now!
I DVRd the first show, as I am all of them, and watched it. Just FF through the commercials but I thought her advice was pretty good. Looking forward to next week's show.
