Our new Debt Help, Management, and Support forum is the place for you to get the support, motivation, and advice you need to get out of debt for good.

If you'd like to start a Debt Cutters thread, you'll need to start by filling out a Debt Cutters Questionnaire. Part of paying down debt is acknowledging how much you have, how you got there, and what you need to do to get out of debt.

You can fill out a Debt Cutters Questionnaire by clicking HERE to get started.

You'll use your baseline numbers in the initial questionnaire. Later, as you move the dial on your debt, you can simply update your posts with new information.

But, if you backslide, you should post that too.

Debt Cutters is our way of giving you a place to be accountable to yourself for the debt you have, and give you the support to get you out of debt.

One very big rule though.....

Debt Cutters is a positive solution to help you maneuver through managing debt reduction. It is not a place for others to judge and negatively criticize how much debt you have, or why you got into debt. It's a place for you to be supported to help you get out of debt.

Wow--HCW just keeps getting better!! I just want to encourage everyone to do this and find the support here to take the stand to meet your goals. This is one area I don't happen to need, but I think this is just great. I need to now work on a better grasp and organization of couponing/refunding/deal hunting and start saving/investing. We are in the beginning of our 50's and if we ever want to retire we need to get that act together now. So I have a ways to go on this financial journey I know and most of you will be way ahead of where we are when you are our age. I wish I had this site when we were younger and I know we would be much better off financially. I thank the owners and all the mods for all their hard work in helping us all. And best wishes to all of you who are working on your debt.

Good luck to everyone! I know that I have received some invaluable advice from some of my great online friends here at Hotcouponworld that helped my family wade out of our debt. We are now debt free ourselves but it was a long road getting there. But I hope that I can encourage and offer advice to others to help them succeed at their goals of getting out of debt!

Well, almost debt free - you just took on a mortgage - But getting the consumer debt gone is huge...and I know I've told you before, but I am SOOOOO proud of you for getting the debt gone and getting your credit cleaned up.

Yeah, I will, I just gotta figure out what all the amounts of my debts and stuff are. We're about $25,000 in debt, not counting student loans (another $30,000).

Well, if you didn't catch my profile yet, it's not as insurmountable as you think. And you can salvage this without a bankruptcy. You can't file on the student loans anyway, so you shouldn't destroy your credit for the $25,000. Even if you default on the student loans, it's still less harm than a full on bankruptcy. So start your Debt Cutter's profile, and let's start hashing this out with you!
