    Default Dancewear, leotard, tights

I am looking for second-hand or new dancewear (leotards, tights, etc) that is inexpensive. Right now, though, Ebay is just awful - too many people bidding on these items and the prices go way up. And I can't find any dancewear on craigslist right now. Any other ideas?

You didn't mention size ranges. Walmart often has dance shoes and other items for pretty reasonable. By this time, they are often on clearance because dance classes usually run during the regular school year and back to school is just now quite past. I've also picked up good quality second hand items at the local women's shelter thrift store. You might check if JC Penney's still sells dance wear as they just sent out $10 off $50 coupons. I don't know if this applies to every Penney's, but at mine if you tell the clerk you forgot your coupon, they will give you one to use. Depending on size needed, you might also check Dillard's. I've seen them carry children or teen sizes.

i get mine at walmart or target. in face target just had a bunch size 6x and under with the little skirt like attached. really cute in pink and black. they also had a onsie with shorts.

i find these are just as nice as the other types. and as fast as the kids grow, it is cheaper. goodwill is another place to find the outfits.

Where did you get those JC Penney coupons? Do they come in the newspaper insert?

It does not matter much about size ranges, because she is 3 yrs old and I am willing to purchase larger sizes for her to grow into.

I've tried Ebay for leotards, but there are way too many people bidding on them. The bidding is very competitive, and it drives the prices up too high. There are also people selling leotards on Ebay for "buy it now" and they want twenty dollars for one leotard. I would not pay that much.

Walmart sells the basic leotards for about $8, simple skirts for the same or a few dollars less (can't quite remember). Target sells fancier outfits, skirts attached, but they cost more too. I always shop for clearance outfits and even on clearance they run about $12 average (full price I'm thinking is is about $15). I've not found them at all at my local JCPenney... I have a ShopKo that sells them, about the same or more than Target (again, clearance is a good find, and they were the only place I've ever found leg warmers). I try to find them at Goodwill, but tap shoes are usually my only find there. My best finds were yard sales - shoes, outfits, etc. And stocking up on the next size is a GREAT idea - I started with just two girls, the oldest is now handing down outfits to the middle, and now I have a third that'll start in a couple years, so I'm collecting all I can! I just keep a tote in the garage to rummage through for the next size up when I need it. Good luck finding deals!
There's a special checkout lane for every other instance, why not one just for couponers? Driver carries no cash - I don't need any if I use my coupons right! Once a stockpiler, always a stockpiler. Will work for coupons - then I can trade them for ones I can use to get free food on doubles day. LISTS http://hotcouponworld.com/userlists/firefly779

Do you have Once Upon A Child stores? They're super-nice secondhand stores. Ours has an end rack with dance and ballet items.

Really depends on what you need. If you need a kid's size leo in black or pink then Walmart has cheap ones. They also sometimes have black jazz pants.

Otherwise... These are the places I order from. You usually get the merchandise quickly. I check the clearance sections every couple of weeks.
