Need good deal on laser printer
I have read that laser printers are much cheaper to operate than an inkjet. I know very little about the laser ones. I have been looking at used ones online. Does anyone have any recommendations, or good deals on a cheap, reliable one?

Re: Need good deal on laser printer
I cant really tell you if they are better or not, but I was on overstock.com (i barely go there) and saw that they had some printers pretty cheap. I thought about looking into them, just havent yet. Let me know if you find one at a good price.

Re: Need good deal on laser printer
I used to have an inkjet and it was acting up. It was a Kodak, worst printer ever! Sucked all the ink after only printing a few pages. It was new and it would break alot and would have to reinstall drivers all the time. I had a warranty on it so I got my money back and bought a laser, best printer ever! I got it on ebay for 99.00 shipped. It was a $330 printer and brand new. I have had it for about a year now and it prints only black and white but that is all I wanted. The prints are crisp, clear and scan every time. It prints around 1500 pages before running out. I use it alot and am very satisfied. It is a Brother work printer, and I buy the toners from ebay also. It is 21.00 shipped for a new toner that lasts around 6 months for all the printing I do and it is a lot. I print recipes constantly, before I could not with the inkjet because it took too much ink. If you buy a toner from any other site they are around 79.00 so for 21.00 I get the same one and that is awesome to me. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask:)

Re: Need good deal on laser printer
If you have a Walmart close by you may want to check the clearance there. I was in mine yesterday and saw several different printers on clearance. Some as low as $30.00.

Re: Need good deal on laser printer
Thanks for the input. I am trying to find one for around $30-$40. Didnt make any difference to me if it was used or not from what I have read about the laser. I just wanted to make sure that the brand I bought, I could also get cheap cartridges for as well.

Re: Need good deal on laser printer
I got a Brother 3 in 1 for about $58 clearance (floor model) at Staples a few months ago. I am still working on the "starter" cartridge. The low toner warning came up a while ago so I ordered replacements from amazon if i remember correct it was like $34 for 2...I did this to get the free shipping. Well Over a month later I am still on the starter taking it out & doing the old Shake trick to get ever last bit I can. I personally have not seen a change in quality yet so why rush to change it & waste who knows how much. Also a lot of people will tell you to set it to toner saver mode. They will look lighter, but I have had no problem with Coupons scanning.
