Need new battery for HP laptop

So sad that my laptop batter is slowly dying, so on the mission of finding a good deal on a replacement one.

HP says $116.99 yeah, not happening

Amazon has the HP brand for $87.99. They also have a bunch of off brand batteries for as low as $23.xx, but I'm a little hesitant to buy such a cheap unrecognizable name.

any advice would be great!

I have bought phone batteries from Amazon and Ebay and they've all been absolutely fine.

Have you checked Radio Shack? You can look online, don't have to go to the store.

Overstock is where I got mine along with a new charging cord (universal) to fit all laptops inthe house for less than 75.00 total.

do you have one of those local batteries plus store? i would check there. i got a new battery for a rechargeable mag lite there once and they were about $20 cheaper then online

I bought a generic one off eBay a year ago and its still working fine.

That model is pretty common and the offbrands are worth a shot for around $50. Just back up before using it. I usually get two and alternate them to prolong the life; I have a hp pav dv5.

If you absolutely have to get the hp brand for peace of mind, Amazon or Walmart.com will have pretty good prices.
