Free paper towels and toilet paper

I've been trying to get good deals on toilet paper and paper towels. Before coupons my husband and I have been trying to get deals by shoppiing at BJ's. However, so far have not had much luck scoring the stuff for free and don't know what I am doing wrong. What stores do you shop at and where do you get the deals?

it is easier to help if we know what stores you have. sales will vary by store depending on their sales, store coupons, doubling policy etc.

so what do you have near you? grocery and pharmacy and dollar stores.

there is a catalina deal ending today at some stores where you buy 2 different Scott products and you get a $2 OYNO (off your next order) that you can roll. At my Giant (PA) the t.p. is .83 and the p.t. are $1 so, throw in a cheap filler and you can get some free.

cvs, rite aid and walgreens. those are the stores that will get you some great deals on the higher priced household and health and beauty/baby items.

sign up for cvs email with your cvs card, and you will get a $4/$20 that you can print once. get $20 worth of stuff and combine with coupons (hand the $4/$20 first and then coupons). if you toss in some of the ecb deals (ecb is cvs way of saying "buy x and we will give you y to use as cash the next time you come in") then it is like getting some of your money back to use again. but remember, cvs tends to carry two sale items so you either need to get there sunday or get a raincheck (with the ad attached to the raincheck)

rite aid has someting similar. they have video coupons and then on your receipts you can get $3/$15 by doing something. they also have some sort of buck system that you buy and get something similar to cvs ecb's back. i dont have a rite aid, but wish i did as they have good deals

walgreens. walgreens has RR's that are good on your next order. buy x and get y in rr's back. but wags you have to remember
rr + manufacturer coupons = number of items you are buying.
if that equations isnt = then you need to add a small candy or clearance item to the mix (called a filler). one rr per x will print per order. so if you want 2 of say a body wash rr, then you have to do two orders and you can not use the same rr on the same item. can be confusing, but if you can figure it out, it can be a great system. this is where i did most of my hba and baby stockpiling.

If you have Target or Walmart nearby, you can get single rolls of Bounty Basic for $0.50 each. The singles are $1, use the $1/2 q from the 5/1 PG. For me, that is a stock up price because I don't seem them much cheaper than that.

This is what I do too...but must trade for the $1/2 coupon. We get the 25 cent coupon out here...

with the 25 cent coupon I take it to our local store that doubles...there price is $1.09 per roll..so the doubling makes it .59 cents a roll.

And for TP i typically get white cloud with a $1.00/1 coupon at Walmart.

When it comes to TP & PT I shoot for cheap not free. If I waited for a Free TP deal we would have some pretty nasty bottoms by now cause in my neck of the woods Free TP is more of a myth then a truth. Unless I burn up OYNO's to get it free that is.

I have heard of everyone getting free TP, and never could understand how they do it!!! Liviing in LOND, I am thrilled to pick up a 12 pack for around $5 with coupons and sales.
