Does anyone know of a good place to get this calculator? Looked on ebay - lots there but not sure if I want to go that route. On the other hand, the kid I'm buying this for would lose her butt if it wasn't attached so I hate to spend a lot.

I've checked Amazon, Best Buy, Fry's, Meijer, Sam's Club, Staples and WM and prices range from $110 (Walmart) - to about $130.

Also looking on Craigslist, not sure . . .

    Thanks for reading.

I had to buy 3 of these a few years ago, that would be because my DS2 lost the one the school gave him, the one he borrowed from a friend, and a 2nd one the school supplied. It was replace the 3 or he couldn't graduate. I lucked out and got them dirt cheap on Ebay, you're right they are expensive. May not have been the same model #, I've slept since then ;). Hope that helps

They are very expensive and I don't think even the older models have gotten cheaper since I had to have one in school. I think if you can find one on Ebay that includes the book and is New, I would go that route.

Thanks ladies. I thought this might be a long shot but wanted to make sure I exhausted every resource before plunking down the $$.

What kills me is we have a perfectly good TI 83 here at home, unused, but the prof for oldest daughter says they HAVE to have TI 84. There were great deals on them before school started in August and I got one for middle girl that left for college but those deals are long gone now.

katieyj - I guess your son would also lose his butt if it wasn't attached!

Do you have any Office Depot, Office Max or Staples $/$$ coupons? I know that Staples in my area accepts competitor coupons. That would cut off some of the cost. Check over at Printable Coupon Spot to see if there are any current ones or if any printables or trade are in the database here.

I would find out what the difference is between the 83 and 84 because I am pretty sure it isn't much? Is there a way she can use the 83 for now and watch for a good price on an 84.
