IVDSO: Hotel Promo Codes or Coupons

I am in desperate need of any promo codes or coupon codes or any way to save money on a hotel stay. I am a single mom driving from California to Illinois next week. I am driving with my three kids and myself. I have already packed enough food from home to save on that expense but there is no way I can drive straight through. We will need to stop and sleep. If anyone has any coupon codes or knows of a way to get them fast please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I will be able to stop and book online at hotels.com or cheaprooms.com or anywhere to save some money.

When we travel we often pick up the travel books at gas stations and rest stops along the way. I believe Travel Buddy is the name of one of them and they used to post printable coupons on line.

I would consider small bed and breakfasts - they might offer a better deal for your situation and I would just feel safer.

Thank you everyone! I have made it safely back to Illinois and we only spent two night in the hotels so it wasn't so bad.
