Canned beans????
So I need to know what is a good price on can beans...I know dry would be cheaper, but often I just don't have time, or advance notice (DH wants nachos at 10pm, black beans are awesome on them
) -I can sometimes get them 2/$1.
When I first started Qpning 1 store had a deal and I got some for about .25/can... that was years ago and I never saw it again...
I use a lot of: Garbanzo beans, black beans, Butter beans, some kidney beans .... any tips, suggestions???
I live in LO practically ND (1 store 1 like Qpn up to .50
, usually not worth the drive)
have:
Target, Walmart (both regular)
Ralphs
Albertsons (Western Region)
Stater Bros (local market not great about Qpns)
Vons (but kinda far away, would have to be AWESOME deal)
Grocery Outlet
umm... a few dollar stores, that's about it....

Re: Canned beans????
.50 a can is about as good as you can get them. many people make dried beans in a slow cooker and freezer them, that's what i do and it is way cheaper than canned.

Re: Canned beans????
I see you don't Aldi's listed but they have canned beans pretty reasonable. I agree with pp though that dried is the best bang for your buck. Just fill the crock pot with beans & water. Season with salt and other spices you desire and cook overnight. It's pretty easy and a big time saver.
I had sanity once upon a time I promise
. It was just so long agoooo that I can't remember it
.
