Have I missed the good prices on Laptops? Hi, everyone! My boyfriend has missed the boat this past weekend on buying me a laptop for my birthday. He went to the stores with the $200 laptops late in the afternoon. (Guys, right?) He's finally broke down to recruit me to help hunt for the best current deal!
He's only wanting to spend $200-$250... has he missed the boat?? Do we need to wait until closer to Christmas??
Gotta love him!

Re: Have I missed the good prices on Laptops? This will be something that I take to school with me for class and notes... I'm just looking for something that is more basic... it doesn't have to be best-in-class, obviously, but at least dependable. I'm trying to get my research together so I have a decent idea of what I'm looking at when purchasing!
Re: Have I missed the good prices on Laptops? Well, concentrate on the hard drive and the memory. More of each will, probably, be needed than just to get on-line since it is for school. Ask some other students how their's is. Ask how much hard drive/memory etc etc. Ask if it is enough to fit their school needs.
