When my boys were little and being potty trained I bought a ton of them at thrift stores for nearly nothing. I brought them home and bleached them and they were good as new. If you don't want to or are unable to do that, I would check at Dollar Stores first then maybe target/walmart/kmart. If I buy new I usually grab a pack of faded glory from walmart, but only because that's really the only place I have available to buy new from.
Good Luck. Hope it helps.

Thanks...I will have to call the dollar store and local thrift stores to see if they even have any....I don't want to run all around hoping they'd be there:)

You are welcome. You might also try craigslist or freecycle. I've given away tons of things there and I see tons of clothes being posted all of the time.

Believe it or not I've had fantastic luck buying underwear at Gymboree. They go on clearance regularly (like 1.50-2.00 a pair) and there are ALWAYS 20% coupons (and at least 3X a year there are 30% off Circle of Friends coupons) floating around in magazines (Parenting, Cookie, etc.) Also, during Gymbucks redemption time you use Gymbucks the way you would use a 50% off coupons. So that super cute $1.50 pair of underwear goes down to .75 each. I loaded up on underwear for my son during the last Gymbucks redemption period. I bought some for him to wear immediately and some for later (which will be wrapped up in a fun way as stocking stuffers--we do "fun" or luxe necessities as stocking stuffers--cool toothbrushes, underwear, shampoo, etc.)

When I was potty training him I put him in his sister's old underwear for the first few weeks. It looked silly but I was NOT about to clean mushy poop out of underwear so that way I could just toss them when he had a major accident. If you don't have that option check Dollar General or Big Lots.

Thanks! I actually found 20 pair of excellent condition underwear on e**y for $16 with shipping...so for training, I think I did a good thing...as long as they fit when they arrive:)

I had never thought about Gymboree. Thanks for bringing that up. I have dropped a lot of money on all the print underwear for my oldest son but since we have a younger one also I wasn't too worried, but it is good to know I can get it cheap somewhere. The stuff i got was $3-$5 for 3 pairs! yikes!!
