A flattering fitting pair of jeans for 13 year old

Hi, my daughter is 5'7 and we have a terrible time finding jeans that fit right. She hates the low rise and in order to get them to fit in the thigh hip area the waist is huge. She begged for american eagle at the beginning of school and I managed to buy 2 on sale but they look awful without a belt ( she is allergic to metal belt buckles and gets awful burn like rash) but cloth sash belts are not enough to hold the waist. She does carry a little extra weight in her midsection but she is not overweight by any means. She is really frustrated that she doesn't "look" like the other girls and I really want to find a better fitting jean for her. I have given her the talk about everyone is made differently not better etc... but this is still an issue for her.

I have tried to catch the curvy jeans at aeropostale but they are always sold out in her size online and in the store. the same with old navy.I am on limited budget so nothing over 30-40 a pair less if possible.

I have the same problem with my 5'9" 14 yr old daughter, but we've been able to get the ones at Old Navy lately & managed to get in on the last Stuff & Save 50% deal, so we got hers for well under $30...the are regularly $29.50, but that day I paid $14.75. Try for the coupons on the ON Weekly that resets on Thursday nights...if you have their card, you'll get emails with deals. She likes the style called "The Flirt" in the bootcut style. I'm the one who won't buy the ones that are too low...if they don't pass the "butt test", they don't come home. That test is, if I can see the top of her butt at any time when she's trying on, they stay at the store.

Give Anne Taylor Loft a try! They have curvy fit jeans that you can often get on sale for somewhere in the $25-30 range. They also have mid-rise so that should pass your butt test! (Which, as the mom of sons, I truly appreciate!!)

She sounds a lot like my niece and her favorite jeans are Cruel Girl Jeans, I know they are sold at our local feed stores and probably western stores. She also like Gap jeans. I'm not sure of the prices on them so can't help there. Good luck.
