Default In the process of purchasing a house

    Hi,

I am in the process of purchasing the house that I currently live in from my landlord (seller). The real estate agent that he has found is representing the both of us, me(buyer) and landlord (seller).

This has been a very frustrating process and I was wondering if there's anyone that could offer me any advice. I have been approved for an FHA loan. Is this a good thing? Has anyone accepted an FHA loan, if so was the outcome good or bad?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi!

I work for a title insurance company, so I do mortgage closings/home purchases every day. Prior to working here (I've been here 1 1/2 years), I worked at a bank doing mortgages for almost 10 years. An FHA Loan can be a very good thing. I would recommend being as informed as you can about the whole process. www.hud.gov is a very helpful site to check out. Also, your mortgage lender and your realtor can be called at any time - it is their job to answer all of your questions!!! You can always ask me, and I can try to help you out also, but don't be afraid to ask someone, because this is a huge purchase!!

So....Congratulations!!! As we sometimes say in closings...you're about to have a new job (keeping up your house ). It's a great investment, just make sure you do it in a very informed way!

I have heard it is best to not use his agent as a dual agent- but to have your own to represent your wants/needs. Best to be extra careful -congrats on the fha!

We are in the same process in buying a home. I also do not recommend you guys sharing the same agent. You need someone that is looking out for your best interest.

I have to agree with the posters about using the same agent. You REALLY
need someone looking out for just you. It is such a major purchase.
