Default Re: Where to get glass cleaner cheap?

Glass plus 2 pk. concentrated glass cleaner is available at dollar tree (by the sponges, etc.).. you add the refill thing to your existing empty bottle and top off w/ water.

so .50 a bottle

I have also used the auto jugs as mentioned above... but our store has raised their prices to almost $3 a jug in last few years and it's only about 1 gallon so for me making it can end up cheaper if I watch prices. Below is portions:
  • 1 part vinegar
  • 1 part alcohol
  • 1 part water

I completely agree! Works better than other cleaners and cleans so much more than glass (cleans my microwave like brandnew) and not so many chemicals. You probably have some already for cooking so try it.

Wow! Thanks for all the input. These are great ideas. I had already bought the windshield stuff before I received the other suggestions. It was around 1.64 or so at our WM for a gallon so I feel good, about it. But I will remember Dollar Tree, and the Homemade version as well, for future reference.

I wish you lived near me...I've got a bunch of extra I could get rid of....

There's been rebates in the Sunday inserts for Windex at least a couple of times in the past year...SC Johnson has good promos, so I'd watch for deals where you can do a coupon/rebate combo and get a MM out of it.

Here's another recipe that's almost free:
1 spray bottle (32 oz) filled with water
2 T. corn starch

Store in the fridge to prevent the corn starch from fermenting. It does work--I have used it.

I second the homemade variety. Waaaaaay cheaper (unless you can get it for free). Works just as well. And is much more convenient!
