Default Cheap Fleece Blanket?

Okay, so we bought a new car a few weeks ago (cash for clunkers, couldn't resist getting rid of my DH's 19 year old Toyota pickup that I refused to ride in anymore). We now have a cute little commuter car with beige interior which we love since we have two golden retrievers (we always try to match carpet, furniture, and car interiors to the dogs...they will always get covered in dog hair no matter what, so we try to adjust).

Anywhoo, this is mainly my DH's commuter car for work and he is a printer. A messy job to say the least. He also regularly transports large amounts of mailings to the post office on his way home, which fill the trunk and most of the back seat (his pickup was convenient for that). He wanted to buy an expensive cover for the back seat so that the upholstery wouldn't get ruined by dirty boxes.

I remember reading a post a few weeks ago on HCW about using a cheap fleece blanket to protect the back seat, but I can't find it now. I think some people mentioned Wags or Target having fleece throws for about $5? Does anyone know where I can pick up something cheap to protect the seats from boxes? (The dogs usually travel in my SUV, so I'm not worried about a dog-sturdy covering). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

If you need a bigger one, try Joanns or a store that sells fabric...they have the clearance stuff that you can get for like a $1.00 a yard and sometimes they will let you use a coupon for that. (Depends on the person I think) They will also cut it to the length that you need to. The Joanns that I used to go to was awsome, they had tons of fabric for $1.00 and sometimes even for $.50!
I have seen the blankets, but I think that they were the smaller ones that were $5.00. Old Navy last year did have theirs BOGO and they were the bigger ones around xmass time.
Good luck! :)

I was going to say Joanns also.

Just measure what size you want to cover the back seat, and go grab a peice of fleece that size. Fleece is anti-fray already, so you wont need to sew anything!

Dont forgot your 40% off coupon!!

And like the PP mentioned, lots of time they have fleece on sale for super cheap.

At Target today, I saw Camp Rock fleece blankets on clearance. I'm not sure what the price was but it was under 5 bucks. Of course the big question is, do you want a Camp Rock fleece blanket? lol

I'm sure I saw in one of the upcoming Walgreens ads that fleece blankets will be $1.99 with in ad coupon.
Just checked and it is the week starting 27th September.

I saw some at Walmart for $3 on clearance. They were bright colors (I think for college dorms). I did see a brown one though that would probably match your car better. They were pretty fluffy and seemed to be of good quality.

Walmart has some right now in Harvest colors (dark brown, light brown, dark orange, maroon, etc). The ones at our store are located by the Halloween stuff, but I've also seen them on an endcap.

I can't remember the exact price, but I'm pretty sure they're under $5. If not, they aren't much more than $5.
