Re: Transfered prescriptions? How do they work?
Hey Jolene! Hope you are feeling well;-)
I hope my answer helps...
My husband works for Walgreens so he has explained this to me-when you have an Rx with refills on it at say CVS and you see a coupon for let's say $20 when you transfer a script to Wag...all you do is go into Wag and say you have an RX at CVS. They will call CVS with your info and take care of it for you.
The problem with these incentives are that you should REALLY keep all your RX's at one retailer so the Pharmacist can track your meds and watch for drug interactions etc.
My hub thinks the FDA will do away with this incentive program (ban it) b/c of the hidden dangers of us wanting to get good deals and not realizing about the potential for drug interactions.
Hope this helps;-)
