What's the best place to buy tires. I have a firestone coupon in the entertainment book.

I've found that my local tried & true independent auto mechanic can get me tires cheaper than any of the tire stores.

I agree, and they will be more willing to back you up if something goes wrong.

I buy tires from a small, independent chain of tire stores (Pomps Tire). They also sell a "tire warranty" for about $7 extra per tire. You might ask if the store you're buying from has something similar. The warranty covers all rotations and balances AND will replace or fix the tire free for up to three years. I've had two tires replaced in the years I've had the warranty--got my money's worth and more from it.
