We have a freezer similar to this, but ours is a Frigedaire brand. This looks good, and it looks like a decent price. Sometimes floor models at appliance stores can be a little cheaper. Ours is a manual defrost, and we defrost it once a year and clean it out. I love having extra freezer space.

We bought a GE 7.0 cu ft about a year ago for 196.74 at Walmart. Ours doesn't have the lock feature, but does have the baskets. I love the baskets. I can keep small items at the top so I don't have to dig. The freezer works great. Low cost and doesn't make alot of noise. In the summer it will frost extra along the top, but it pulls off easily and ours came with a plastic scrapper. We plan to do a total defrost before summer. Hope this helps.

We haven't done a complete defrost yet. Every couple of months I check the top(around the baskets), but it comes off real easy. We will do a complete defrost before summer, there isn't much build up now but I know with the Iowa heat/humidity it will be more likely to happen. It has been a life saver this winter, never ran out of anything during one of the good ole snow storms. Plus I can stock up on those good frozen deals. Glad I could help.
