I am looking to purchase a new All-in-One printer, and I'll like to get recommendations. I had an HP a year or so ago, I really liked it. It was about 5 years old and I started getting error messages and sometimes I was unable to use it, so I replaced it with a Canon. I hate this printer, I've had lots of trouble with it, I think it goes through way too much ink, and I think the ink is overpriced. I hate the fact that the ink cartridges have to have that chip, which I think means they are more expensive than they should be. Right now, I can't even get it to print more than 2 pages without having to clean the nozzles. The black doesn't print right - it ends up with lines on it. I've just put in new black cartridges too.
So, I am looking for a good printer, mainly in terms of original cost, and also replacement ink costs. I mainly use the printer for printing coupons, a few packets for a group that I'm in, and my DH and DS use it occasionally. We might print a photo, but we don't use photo paper, so having excellent photo quality is not a big issue.
What do you own, and do you like it. How much are the replacement cartridges, and how often do you have to replace them?
I just bought this one today and I already love it.!!!!
