And my folks have a Toyota Camry, a 97 I think. It's up to 170,000.
Previous camrys theyve had last a long long time.
I have a 99 Grand Marquis, it's got over 100K miles.
I don't know if I recommend it. I guess I haven't had a lot of problems with it. A balljoint broke ($200), I've replaced brakes, serpentine belt ($70)...and I'm good about getting the oil changed every 3,000 miles.
A big expense was one of the maintenance checks around 75K miles, $700.
I think the average age of a grandmarquis driver is about 83yo.
Not a chick-magnet.
Cruises beautifully at 80 mph.
Bad gas mileage. (haven't calculated lately)

Honda or Toyota Hands DOWN! DD #1 has a Toyota Corolla, DD #2 has a Honda Accord.
I have a Suzuki XL7 and have had it since it was new in 2001. I am about at 100,000 miles. I have never had any problems with it. Change the oil every 4 or 5 thousand miles. It has only been in the shop once right before the warranty ran out for a computer chip that went bad. Just new tires and brakes and things. I just can't bring myself to buy a new car and go back to having a car payment!

We have a Kia Sportage 2001 has 164,000 miles. DH keeps oil changed and does all the work. So far we have only replaced brakes on front, battery, and one belt of some kind. I use it the most. DH has a Mazda 2003 small pick-up for work. Before we bought these we had a Mazda 626 ,1986 and when we sold it mileage was 265,000 never will have a car like that again.
I believe Japanese cars are very reliable: Honda, Toyota, Acura, etc.
I have an Acura TL and it has 111,000 miles. We just been doing regular maintenance on it and luckily no major problem yet. My sister has a Honda Accord that's close to 150,000 miles.
I've had 3 Hondas, yes, count them...THREE that were well over 100,000 miles and one we are still driving (an accord) that has over 250,000 miles!!!) ;) HTH!

My Chevy Lumina has over 150,000 now.
DH's '89 Volvo station wagon has 218,000+, but it's getting to be on it's last leg.
