Have you tried craigslist? You could look in the baby area and post an iso in the wanted section.
I'm in desperate need of a double stroller or something similar, like the Sit and Stand. I have a 5 month old, a two year old (who is exactly why leashes for kids were invented) and a four year old. Of course I'm cheap so....any help would be very very very very welcome. Thanks!

I had a DUH moment sorry. Who has a double stroller and did you like it? I've read tons of reviews and they just didn't really help. But Craigslist is a great idea! Once I figure out what I want lol.
I have a jeep tandem double stroller. stay away from it. I only needed one for DRs appts. so the $25 I spent on it was a good deal for me (on craigslist). It is in perfect condition. But if you are going to use it a lot then don't get it!! It is too big and too hard to maneuver.
The Graco DuoGlider gets the best reviews, and I tried out my friend's once and it really is a lot easier to maneuver (of course, a bus would be easier to maneuver than my Jeep stroller LOL)
I hate double strollers, but my 2 year old is also the reason why kid leashes were invented.

When we adopted DS, I knew I wanted a double stroller but wasn't sure if DD (almost 2 at the time) would be big enough to stand on the sit-n-stand all the time as she often still took a nap in the stroller when we went places. We opted to spring for the newest model from One Step Ahead, which is the sit-n-stand elite. The major benefit was that it starts out as a two seater and then can be converted into a sit-n-stand once the older child wants to stand.
I figured that was a better investment than getting the two seater and finding out that DD didn't want to sit and having to buy another or buying the sit-n-stand and finding out that she wanted to sit. It did cost a pretty penny at $180, but I did find a 20% off code, got free shipping, and also got a upromise rebate. For me, it was worth the money - Turns out DD hasn't wanted to stand up yet, and she's now 3, so we've gotten good use out of it and I know someday when we convert it to the sit-n-stand that we'll get even more use. Sometimes I think it's better to spend the money up front rather than ending up spending double to find out you didn't get it right the first time!
For the record - haven't had any trouble with the stroller at all. We did convert it a few times back and forth when loaning it to friends and seemed simple enough. Have had it for over a year now with no complaints.
Good luck!
I have a 2 year old and a baby on the way. I recently purchased the Graco Quatro Tour Duo and although I don't have baby here yet we have used it with another child in the seat. I love it. It is so smooth and easy to close, only one hand is needed...of course it is a little heavy, but it's a double stroller. There are a ton of great features on it and I often find my daughter just playing in it if we have brought it into the house after a day. I didn't buy mine off craigslist I just went to Babies R Us because that is where I found it, but I was able to get a 20% off coupon to use for it.
Good luck!

When I had a 3yr old, a 1yr old and an infant, I had the side by side stroller and hated it. I could only go into stores that had wide aisles. When we were in airports I had a wrist leash attached to my wandering 3yr old and the stroller.
For an infant and a toddler I like the Graco Duoglider b/c the car seat fits and it is better quality than some of the other tandem strollers out there in terms of manueverability (is that a word???!!!) I have the MacLaren twin side by side for my twin toddlers and love it - but it is expensive new. I bought it used off Craigslist. I just bought the Joovy Caboose (also expensive but I bought used at a consignment store). The Joovy is a double sit and stand - great if you have a lot of kiddos. We do not go anywhere with our 3 kids (age 2 and under) without a stroller - so it is worth the investment.
My DH, DS (2 yrs), and I went looking for a double stroller before DS#2 was born. We got the Joovy Caboose Ultralight from Buy Buy baby for 180.00 (with 20% coupon). We like it.
It's easy to push & maneuver. We figured out a way that we can put the car seat in the back part where you stand if DS#1 wanted to sit in the front seat (it's not a feature and I don't think the company recommends it but we tested it to make sure it's safe and the graco correct positioning leveler says it's in the correct position .
The downside is that it's a little long and takes up alot of space in trunk (compact car) - but it is a double stroller. Also, it's hard to get to the basket underneath.
It's been 6 months and overall I am happy with it.
If you are still looking, we have the Joovy Caboose for my almost 3 year old and my 9 month old. Works great, the baby can sit up front, in can recline a little if the 3 year old isn't sitting in the back. My 3 year old can either sit in the back or stand. He mostly sits. I find that it turns pretty well and we can get around stores and malls with no problems. I think it folds up pretty well - honestly, I can get it in the back of my minivan without folding it up, so I put it in there infolded. Saves me a lot of time when we are getting in and out.
