Dh's mom has been given 3months to live. and she lives in north carolina. dh will have to have to travel back and fro several times. I need dirt cheap tickets as we only have one income (his). Any ideas????

I'm sorry to hear about your mother in law, usually I use Kayak.com

It's a good website, you can modify the search based on how much do you want to spend and how many transfers do you want to take.

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL.
I asked my daughter what site she uses (since I've only flown once in my 50 years), and she said she uses airfare.com. HTH!

Hi thanks for the help so far we live inthe sf bayarea, ca so any airport here ssan jose sfo oak and mil lives in asheville nc. but I think dh will have to fly into charlotte to get better price on ticket. ( his sister can pick him up i think)

Southwest.com has some good prices right now, with a 14 day advance purchase, they fly from san fran, san jose, and sac into raliegh/durham

Check any of the major travel websited like travelocity.com or expedia.com See which of the airlines have the best price and then go to that companys website. You can usually get it cheaper from the company's website rather than paying a fee when booking at on of those other sites.

Thank you so much for allyou help.!!!!!! I bought my 1st set of tickets to day for 250.00 from Cheap Flights, Airline Tickets, Cheap Airfare & Discount Travel Deals - Kayak.com sjo to charlotte. I didn't even know of some of the other tips either, but I'll save those untill mil passes.
