Re: Tylenol PM Deal Okay I did not have to great of an experience today and I sent a complaint to Walgreens - This is what I wrote - hope it sounds okay:
I often visit a Walgreens close to my home and I am always treated great. Today I was close to a different Walgreens on 9400 South and 700 East. At this location I interacted with a cashier named Marlene and had a horrible experience. Before shopping I asked the cashier if I could use a Walgreens coupon with a manufactured coupon. Marlene said I could. So I spent the next 45 minutes shopping. I was buying some Tylenol PM that was on sale in your store for $2.49 I then had a coupon for $1.00 off making the Tylenol $1.49. I then used the easysaver Walgreen coupon that was for $2.00 off. This caused overage of .51 cents. I then purchased many other items so I would not actually be receiving any overage back. When I checked out and handed Marlene my coupons these particular coupons clearly upset her. She then in front of other customers and in front of my children started telling me I was commiting coupon fraud. I explained to Marlene that this was not coupon fraud and that some stores allow for overage and some do not. I was very understanding if her store did not want to allow for overage and that I could put the items back. She contined to tell me that this was not about overage and that I was simply committing coupon fraud. I then told Marlene that the cash register wouldn't let me commit coupon fraud and she should just try scanning the coupon. She agreed to scan the coupon through and she was surprised to see that the coupon actually worked (without beeping). Marlene still said that she wouldn't allow it because it was coupon fraud and she would call her manager. By this time I was very upset. Not only did she embaress me in front of other customers but she called me a criminal in front of my children! I would be totally understanding if she would have just simply told me that the store does not allow for coupon overage - instead she told me I was committing coupon fraud. I took my coupons back from her and left my basket of around $100 of groceries and went to another store right across the street. They matched your ad, your instore coupon and took my manufactured coupon. Even though I do enjoy shopping at the other Walgreens close to my home this experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I may just shop at other stores that will match your ad. I just thought your company would like to know.
Thanks,
Summer
What do you all think? I then went to another Walgreens and they were great about the whole thing! I got 8 Tylenol Pm's, 6 Ragus, 4 Skippy Peanut butters and it only cost me $2.01 (with tax - it was .08 before tax) plus I received back a 5 oyno catalina - this scenario was with using the $2/1 coupons not the $1/coupons. |
