One-a-Day Vitamin *hot deal* ends 1/18/09!

I've never posted a hot deal so please bear with me!

One-a-Day vitamins, 100 to 200 count, are on sale for $12 (starting 1/18/09, pg. 12 of ad) AND spend $20 get $10 RR.

There were $1 off MQ and a $10 mail-in-rebate in 1/4/09 SS, but the rebate says receipt must be dated between 1/4/09 and 1/18/09 so you would have to purchase the vitamins tomorrow only.

Here's the math:
2 * $12 = $24 - $2 MQ - $10 RR = $12 - $10 MIR = $2 (+ tax and cost of stamp)

I'm excited! These are my favorite viaamins because the Men's do not contain iodine. I just hope they have some in stock.

It sounds like a good deal, but the form is not very clear on how much you get for the rebate. It just says maximum amount is $10 and rebate amount based on price paid after coupon (and you get half price). I think I understand that to mean if you paid $12 - $1Q = $11 (half of that) $5.50 each, so buying two, you would only get the max, $10. Are we sure that is correct?

I bought the $12 bottles and it wants UPCs. There is no way those things are going to come off cleanly.

You are right about the rebate amount. I will hope for $10 but expect $5.50. Still good enough for me for a years worth of vitamins!

And I peeled off the UPC *very* carefully. You can almost see through it though cuz most of the "gummy" stuff stayed on the bottle.
