Free tape at Walgreens with coupon from Winter Saving book

I hope I can post this here since it is a coupon from a Publix coupon book. At wags this week if you use their coupon from the weekly ad that is 2/$1 and the manf coupon for $1/2 off Scotch tape you can get 2 rolls for free

I'm thinking this is a YMMV because even though its a Manf q it says redeem @ publix in the corner of the coupon. I'm gonna try it but my Walgreens is a bit uptight.

I always try to educate my cashiers, with the following. It says manu and has a bar code, so it is acceptable. If it was a true store coupon, the store's name would be subsituted for manu and there would be no bar code.

It says Manufacturer Coupon on it. My Walgreens takes them but there is a limit of 4 per transaction on their tape. I tried 4 and the last coupon beeped on the register and was not accepted. The manager said sometimes there are limits and to just check out 2 at a time. That worked fine. Cost me 6 cents tax for 2. So far I have 8...It may take me a while....I have 30 coupons which equals 60 tapes!

Is the tape actually ringing up 2/$1 or is it ringing up 2/$0.99?? WAGs doesn't allow overage w/mfr coupons. So, even if there was one penny overage the coupon will beep. They possibly could have been the problem.

Thanks. I was wondering last night if those coupons would work. I see a trip to Walgreens coming up. Especially with Christmas right around the corner.

I wish I had seen this earlier. I just bought 4 rolls BUT I had the $25 gc for transferring a Rx but still it would have been nice to double dip.....I see another trip to Wag's this week.
