Default $428 in catalinas...what to buy?

So we've got 107 $4 catalinas ($428) to spend by November 1st at Kroger. Has anybody used them to get Kroger gift cards? I know this is not allowed at some stores, but I wasn't sure about Kroger.

We don't have freezer space, so whatever we get will have to be shelf stable.

It's not a bad problem to have, but since we've been HCW addicts, we haven't spent more than $100 for a whole month's groceries.

You can always send some my way;) I would purchase baking staples for the holidays, stuffing, soup, cereal (to an extent it's good for about 6 months), juice, baby food(even if you don't have a baby, it's a quick way to mix veggie and fruit purees into food for kids who don't eat enough of either:) ), condiments, tortilla shells(these are good for a while without having to freeze them)

I think we'd also buy a bunch of tortilla chips b/c Tostidos never has coupons...bottled water(emergency stash), batteries, seasonal items (Christmas cards), household items(ya know, the ones you probably don't have for free from CVS or WAGS :)), lighters/matches, greeting cards

Umm...furniture and small appliances? Christmas gifts? Maybe they'd work on those other giftcards that Kroger sells...

Some stuff to donate, maybe?

You could trade them in the trading forum and get coupons, stamps, pphf ect. Stuff you could really use vs buying stuff you may not need just to use them up.

Wow - I had 20 $4 (from powerade zero) and I thought that was a huge big deal! I spent mine on baby formula - I am formula-poor (kinda like house-poor).

Kroger has a small bag of Tortilla chips for $1.09 (or may be on sale for 10/$10). They are the cheapest per ounce I've found Tortilla chips. I used up a bunch of my cats on these.

Also, the cats don't say anything on them about giftcards if I remember correctly. I'd look into that.

I too would look into getting holiday stuff. I'd check the clearance as well.

Maybe some Christmas shopping? I read on another thread on HCW a long while back where someone made dinner themed gift baskets for their family members as birthday or holiday gifts.

Italian, Chinese, Mexican, etc.

You could probably get everything at Krogers, including the baskets.

HTH!
