That depends. I have never had a script at Walgreens, so not sure on their policy. Oftentimes if your script was at that exact store, they will not always consider it a transfer. To be safe, I always take my transfer to a different location (be it CVS, Dominick's, Jewel, etc.) to ensure I get the card.

I just did this - i had transferred an RX to Target last month to get the giftcard then last night transferred it back to Wags and used the coupon and got their giftcard. i was so pleased I let my DD pick out some candy LOL, i was so stoked to get a free $25!

I notice it says offer good at greater metropolitan area stores only and my store did not have it in their in store ad. We live in a really small town...does that mean that I can't use this?

No, just transferred. But you can drop it off at CVS and ask them not to fill it yet and then have Walgreens call them and transfer it over.


And FYI, you can get the amount added to your rebate GC instead of a separate GC. As long as the magnetic strip is working it's no problem and saves having a bunch of GC floating around.
