Wegmans and Kashi Bring You "Day of Change"

In addition, our Buffalo Division Nutritionist Allison Parker MS, RD will be available in Nature's Marketplace to answer all of your questions and help you understand the importance of whole grains. You might recognize her - recently she was seen on Channel 2 speaking about some of Menu Magazine's great fall meal options. We hope you can make it out for this great event!

I normally don't shop Wegman's, foods are nice, prices aren't!
I may just stop in - can a bunch of us MEET??? We'll 'do' chinese!

Actually, Wegmans prices are often the same as Tops sale prices - I did some extensive checking a while back. The stuff you have to watch out for is their some of their counter meats, counter seafood (although the frozen bags are a good deal), deli and prepared foods. Their hamburger, steak, many meats, chicken are as cheap as or cheaper than Tops, and their meat markdowns are much better than Tops. But Wegmans does not have gas points or catalinas!
I shop the McKinley store...but I have a party to go to that afternoon...

I find just the opposite in Rochester. The butcher here at Wegmans told me they only mark their meat down 20%. Tops has had much better meat reductions lately.

Tops in Rochester don't have gas points either.

The thing is, Tops has so much in their advertisement that you can plan ahead for coupons, special buys, etc. Wegmans has less and less in their weekly advertisement so it's really hard to plan. I'm making a visit this week for a few things though!

I usually go to Wegmans if there is nothing drawing me to Tops, if my shopping does not have a lot of coupons, or does not match up with their sales. they definately use two different strategies.

Wegman's prices are much lower on everything compared to Tops. You don't need their advertisment to plan your shopping list. I go to Wegmans.com, type in the store that I'm going to shop at and you can price check every item in their store, match your coupons and have your shopping list ready before the ads even come out.

As soon as Tayortown comes out, I plan my shopping on coupons that will be out that Sunday. Wegman's also posts their weekly flyer online after midnight Saturday night.

Too funny you posted this. I was working the store on sheridan. That was our first week we did it. And guess what...... We are doing it again this week. Things are going to go smoother this week too.


For the event we had $1 off cereal.. BTW some is 2/$5. $1 off any snack and $2 off any frozen. Which is good on the waffles that are 2.39. .39 waffles!!!!

We also have a limited amount of green bags too.

I'm not sure which locations are this week, but I'm in amherst.



We sampled cookies, crackers, cereal and granola bars.
